26 weeks pregnant and having a lot of pain
I am 26 weeks pregnant. Yesterday I started having severe pain in my lower back and bad periodlike pain in my lower stomach as well as bad legs cramps. It all stopped last night bit its back again today. I'm really scared for me and my baby. What is going on?

You'll have to see your doctor. There's no way for anyone online to tell you what's going on.

You say it's in your lower abdomen down your legs? Most likely round ligament pain. Drink plenty of water, do NOT chew ice. Take a warm bath, Tylenol every 4 hours times 2 doses. Change position. If you are lying down, get up and walk. If you are walking, try lying down.

If that doesn't work, contact your doctor. If it's past office hours, call the L&D department where you are supposed to deliver.

I would like to add that contractions are usually at or above your bellybutton and your stomach tends to get as hard as your forehead.

Contractions will NOT stop, but only get worse, especially with walking.

Again last night it went away. But nothing seems to help when it is hurting. To add to it my pelvic bone started hurting today and makes walking difficult. If I really need to go to the Dr I'd like to know so that I can borrow a car. I don't want to seem paranoid but I want my little girl to be OK. She hasn't moved a lot today and usually she is more than active.

Your body is producing a hormone called Relaxin which is what is causing your hips to be sore as your pelvic bones are relaxing so that baby can move down.

Now, if you haven't felt your baby move the way she normally does, you NEED to seek medical attention at once.
