Hello,

I've been married a little over 2 years but I've been sexually active with my husband for 4 years, we have never used birth control and I've always had a good period, until this month. My period was due on Feb24th.But didn't come. I waited a while to take the test, finally after the 12th day I took the test, came out negative. I took another test this morning and came out negative. I am not sure what's going on with my body. I made an appt to find out what's going on with me. Could the tests be wrong?

I have been feeling hungry, bloated, my breats are tender and I have been discharging MORE than usual. It's kind of a whitish yellowish cream like discharge and doesn't smell. What do you guys think? What should I expect in my Appt tonight?

The short answer is yes, urine tests can be wrong. Did you take the test using the first urine you passed when you woke up in the morning, the hormones are more concentrated then. Your hormones could be slow to build up high enough to show positive on a urine test, as the test relies on your hormones being a certain level. To give a positive result, if your hormones fall a fraction below the required level, you will get a negative result, even if you are pregnant. Ask your doctor to take a pregnancy blood test, that will show any rise in your hormone level, to indicate pregnancy or not.

Yes I took both test in the morning once I woke up.
I've also been feeling light cramps like if my period were going to come but it doesn't, I get really bad cramps and back aches when I get my period but I have. Like I said the cramps have been very light.

I went to the doctors last night and they took another pregnancy test and it was negative. They took the blood test and I should get the results on Friday. She doesn't think I'm pregnant. She thinks it's stress but I have not been stressed at all so it's just weird. She said to wait for the results and then we will go from there. If it's negative then I have to wait for my period a couple more months if it doesn't come then I have to go back so they can give me something to start it again. I will you all know how it goes.

How I got in? You mean this site? Well I just made a search for this question and I got this link. I looked through some questions that were already asked but I didn't quite find the answer so I decieded so sign up and ask my question. I like this site.

I got the call from the Doctor today and the blood test was negative. :mad: I really hoped I was. Now she said that I have to wait till my period comes and if it doesn't in a couple months to go back in for treatment.

Sorry you didn't get the result you wanted. I am in a similar boat. What did the doctor do or ask to think you were not pregnant? If you don't mind me asking? My appointment is Monday and I'm really nervous x

EnglishRose, the doct asked me how I was feeling. So I told her, light cramps, bloated, tired, I am discharging MORE than usual, very hungry at times, and I sleep a lot. So she took a PT and came out negative. I asked her to take a blood test and she did, I got the results and negative. She thought the signs I am having are because I'm stressed but I don't feel stressed at all. She told me to wait for my period and if it doesn't after a couple months to got back. :mad: I think I'm going to go to a different doct. I hope this helps. And GOOD LUCK to YOU! :)

It is possible that your body could just be changing...

Thanks. I just wondered if they felt your stomach or not. My stomach is bloatted and fells harder than usual but not as hard as I'd expect it to be if I was pregnant.

DO NOT LET THEM JUMP START YOUR PERIOD. No matter how many months late you are do not let them give you the medication to jump start your period. My friend did that after being 2 month late and negative urine and blood test. When she took the medication, she got horrible cramping and pains so she went to the ER and they told her she was having a miscarriage. Just wait it out.
