I know you will call me stupid, but he said he would pull out, and it was an 'in the moment' thing. Well, now my breasts are quite tender, like there's a kind of pain when I touch them, and I keep feeling sick during the day, starting today, for like 30 minutes at a time. I'm not sure what date my period is due. As sometimes I skip periods and we've never really kept track,

YOU might be... you are going to have to wait and take a test to know for sure...

Never let someone have sex with you without a condom... and never trust them.

Pulling out isn't effective in the first place... and secondly... there are a number of STD's you could get from him. You don't know where he has been or what he's done.

For all you know he can be having unproteded sex with guys AND other girls... some of whom might be drug users or they themselves be having sex with drug users.

People lie all the time... more often than you can understand at 16. And he already did... EVERY guy knows BEFORE he gets off... in PLENTY of time. He obviously didn't give a damn about you or much else... or he wouldn't have. It was no accident. Life lesson #1... remember it.

HPV infection rates are VERY high... and it can lead to cervical cancer or sterility... and it can have no visible symptoms. And like some other far more serious STD's. Like AIDS and Herpes... there is no cure.

How long before I can take a test ?

I know, always make sure, and know for a fact that it was his first time. We are fairly close, and I have known him for a while.

Trust me... there is no possible way you can ever know. The nicest people you know may have the most risky habits... and the sleaziest people you know might have the best ones. And the same goes for STD's. That's why so many people have contracted them... they "were sure" too.

Guys lie about "their first time" if it relaxes the girl into giving them what they want... they will generally say anything to get in a girls pants... at 16 I'm sure you have already known other girls that have been through this too.

I was a young guy once... and some things never change. This is one. Only now there are more things to worry about... when I was 16 nobody heard of AIDS... and Herpes was associated exclusively with cold sores on your lip.

And there is no way you can make sure. Like I said... you can't tell anything just by looking at them, and people... male and female are dishonest about these things MOST of the time.

My advice... wait until you have your next period. If its late, or doesn't come... then take the test.

Trying too soon will result in inaccurate results.

Figure 28 days from when your last one started on average... stress can delay it... or some women just have highly irregular ones so in some cases its more and some less than the average 28 days.

Lots of innacurate information passes by word of mouth in your youth between people you know. More than you know... the guiet girl everyone thinks is a virgin might be sleeping around with many guys... or the one that braggs about her exploits might actually be a virgin. And that applies to the guys as well.

Things are rarely as they might appear.

At 16 you are just beginning to learn this... I'm sure you know what I'm saying. And trust me... even adults that have been around the block... get fooled at times. You will be seeing a LOT of that sort of thing through your late 20's before it starts tapering off.
