    Quick Connectors / Backyard Pool...
We decided to go with the Quick Connectors on the Backyard Pool... I'm using the grooved ended ones where the hose fits on... Out of 5 installed 1 just has to leak I tried moving the clamp to tighten over the grooved area, still dripping... Just happens to be the Hose from the Pump to the Filter @ the Pump end.. Surprisingly with the pump turned off and all connections wiped down, No Leaking.. Any Ideas? Would an additional clamp do the trick? Cheers, Thanks...

    Hi Norplan

So you are using HOSE BARB type fittings like in the picture below, yes (yours may be plastic)? If you are using hose fittings and the typical plastic pipe associated with these fittings then you actually want to HEAT the plastic tube just a little and then tighten the clamp onto the hose/fitting joint. In many cases, I use two clamps at each joint but that is because I can't have any call backs or the job is a loser for me, right?

Anyway, heat the hose a bit and use two clamps and you should be all set here!
