Where does the white pipe go
Hi guys, My new (2mth old) toilet was flushed but it would not stop taking water in. I opened the cistern and found after a bit of fiddling that a white pipe was trapped beneath the main flush mechanism. Trouble is when I remove this pipe everything seems fine until I flush again and the pipe gets sucked back into the flush. Has anyone got any idea where this pipe should be? To give you a better description it has water coming out of it when the flush is operated and has a small pin hole 10mm before the end the pipe, width is about 5mm, Length around 50mm. Thanks in advance :)

You're talking about the small 1/8th" tubing that fastens on the top of the ballcock and connects into the upright white overflow tube. Correct? This piece of tubing directs water down the overflow tube and helps fill the bowl.
If left off the bowl will not fill to the level that it should. There should be a clip somewhere that clips it to the overflow tube. Regards, Tom

Ah ha, I was looking for the overflow! I think I am with you now, the overflow is the main pipe in the middle of the cycten, although there is no clip there is enough pipe for it to stay in place thank you for your words of wisdom.
