In INDUSTRIAL buildings you want to stay DWV copper fittings and TYPE M copper tubing (or type L, but L is more expensive). You cannot use ABS or PVC plastics here.

What exactly are you doing? Have you taken venting into consideration? If you explain what exists and what you want to do we can tell you more, OK?

In my area we are allowed to use Cast Iron for drains and vents in industrial buildings. We can also use combination of Cast Iron and Copper. In this case we use special Fernco couplings that allows us to connect two pipes of dissimilar wall thicknesses.

My tubs are backing up only when my washing machine drains. I thought it was my sewer line and used an auger to clear that, but it's still happening. Could I need a new washer? This one is over 10 years old.
