    Hey speedball. I always thought a cross connection was the lack of an air gap that would allow a plumbing system to siphon water back into itself in the event of a loss of pressure. A faucet spout that had its end below the rim of a sink, for example.

    A crossconnection is a situation where the hot line's connected to the cold one or a water lime's connected to drainage.
