What is the consistent screeching in the ceiling ?
I have had the same problem working at a church (by the way I am not religious maybe that is why lol) and the sound was not coming from a speaker or anything like that but from the ceiling!! It was unbearable, the sound is like a screeching or screaming crescendo like sound that starts very high pitch and only becomes so piercing you have to close your ears!I tried to find where this sound was coming from in the whole church could not tell. They said it was suppose to be the plumbing, I do not know they fixed them the next day but I also left (was only a three month temporary job)so I do not know what happened. Not a pleasant experience that is for sure but it is also interesting to know exactly what that was!

Hi marou and welcome to The Plumbing Page at AskMeHelpDesk.com You are responding to a 4 year old dead thread so I gave you one of your own. Please check the date before you post. Thanks,
Have you been back in touch with the church to check?
They said it was suppose to be the plumbing,
Did they say why they thought so? There's not too much plumbing in a church ceiling. Can you give me more details? Back to you, Tom
