If I have a square d 40/60 pressure switch and the well pump turns on at 42 and turns off at 62 for the half of the times and the other half it builds pressure over 100 psi what should I look for

1. Check the points on the switch. They might be sticking. You can turn off the power and gently file them with an emory board, but I'd just consider replacing the switch. Twenty bucks or so... cheap.
2. If that's OK, then check the little pipe which leads to the switch. Might be clogged with crud, as well as the inlet to your switch being clogged.
3. You really don't want pressure building that high. Your pressure tank is not rated for much more than that, and if it fails, you don't want to be there. More commonly, it's a strain on your house plumbing fixtures.
