    Well problems
Please help. Have very little knowledge about wells but will do my best to describe symptoms.

We are running out of water. We will get some in the house but it runs out quickly... this is a new problem... my tank is set at 38 psi of air and is should set to cycle at 40/60, but the pump cycles on for literally 1 second and then cuts off... we have tried adjusting the pressure switch, but the gauge shows no change in pressure as we do this, we have tried purging the tank of air and water, resetting the psi to 38 and turning back on the pump... once again cycles on and off in literally 1 second. The gauge never reads more than 27 lbs, Is this a possible pressure switch problem, gauge problem or worse? If more clarification is needed let me know, and I will do my best... new at well "problems"! And thanks so much in advance!

    Blessings.

Do you run out of water as the pump's running? Does the pump run every time you draw a glass of water? Regular jet pump or submersible ? How deep is your well. Lots of rain lately or has it been dry? Unhook the little tube running from the pump to the control box and make sure it's clear. Let me know, Tom

Spanish, are the points in the switch closing and then opening after one second, or do the points stay closed but the pump shuts off anyway after one second?
