    Water shut off
    If a home is left empty for months at a time, should the water to the home be turned off or left on? The home uses a drilled well for fresh water and a septic system for grey & black water.

    Absolutely... cheapest insurance you can buy!

    You'll also want to shut the water heater down to vacation or pilot setting (if gas water heater) or turn power off if you have an electric water heater.
