    Waste lines
    When installing new shower unit do you have to connect directly into the stack line or can you conect into the waste line that was there?

    If you connect directly to the stack vent you'll have to run a dedicated vent off the new shower. I assume the old shower was vented so that's the drain line I'd use. Good luck, Tom
