    vibration noise.
About a month ago I started hearing this loud vibrating noise which can last anything between 1 to 15 minutes originating somewhere in the house. It seems to be most intense in my upstairs bathroom and my utility room (beneath the bathroom) It's not related to any turning on or off water taps or flushing toilets, although I can feel a slight vibration in the cold water pipe in my bathroom, can it be anything to do with my neighbours water supply? It just happens randomly throughout the day.

Sounds like a defective pressure reducing valve (PRV) on the main water pipe. Next time the noise occurs, feel the pipe where it enters the house.
