My sump pump have its own mind
A few months ago we have purchased a home with a crawl space, it has two sump pumps. The one in the front we have replaced because it was broken. The one in the back was working fine.

Recently with all these rains and snow we were able to tell if the sump pumps were working or not. The one in the back never seems to stop running. We had to pull the plug on that one and the one in the front is not running but there is water there.

We have went out to Lowe's to purchase a small sump pump for around $100. Should we replace the one in the back. And the one we have replaced, what should I look for? I don't want to throw it out yet because it might still work. I just don't know what to look out for.

Any suggestions would be helpful and if I have missed anything, please let me know. I am new to all these homeownership.
