    Stuck tub spout
I have a front threaded tub spout that I need to replace since the diverter is old and is not working properly. I've tried using a screwdriver in the spout end to twist off spout but I can't break it loose. It is the original tub spout ~ 9 years. Any ideas?

I use a torch and heat the end of the spout. Put a cloth on the floor of the tub. The old spout will be destroyed but you don't care because you are replacing it. This way you don't twist it off in the wall
