    Snaking shower pipe
    Snake will not bind to go down pipe. Any suggestions

    What type of snake? Power or hand crank? What size cable? You have no choice but to snake from the shower drain. What you're having a problem with is getting the snake past the "P" trap under the floor. There just isn't any other way to snake a shower drain. Perhaps the cable's too large. Try a 1/4" one. I've never had a shower trap I couldn't get my snake past. Try again! Good luck, Tom
