    No Cold Water in AZ!!
I need help from anyone who will listen... we are builing a new house in Arizona (the hot part). It is a single story house and the builder has used Aqua-Pex plumbing. By chance we found out with this Aqua-Pex plumbing we will not have cold water in the summer... at all! This is because they run this system in the attic. Does anyone know if an R/O system will alleviate this problem or does anyone have any other ideas for us to get cool water?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

We do not use Pex Systems in my area and we rough in our water under the slab, However, to answer your question a RO system will filter your water but will not cool it down. One possible solution might be to install a gallvanized pressure tank in series with the cold water supply from the attic in a section of the house that's airconditioned. That would cool the water to the ambient room room temperature which should cool it down considerately. Outside of building a "chiller" to chill, store and contain the water that's about all I can come up with. Good luck, Tom
