    Shower won't fire boiler
I have a Worcester 35 CDi boiler. Recently the shower in the ensuite and the shower in the bathroom won't fire the boiler when turned on. If the heating is on, the showers work but not on their own. The hot water in each sink and the bath works and if you take the head of the showers, the water coming out of the end of the hose is hot and the boiler fires. Its tempting to think it's the shower head that's bunged up. They have have been cleaned thoroughly and the force of the water coming out is high. If it was the shower head, why would it work if the heating was on?

    Any ideas would be great.

Sounds like the boiler is activated by a flow switch. Even though the shower head appears to be strong, it may not have the required gpm [gallon per minute] flow to activate the flow switch. There is likely a flow restricter in the shower head.

    Hi Heather,
There's a water saver in your shower head that looks like a rubber washer with holes around the sdge. Pry it out and toss it. Work better now? Regards, Tom
