    Shower temperature
I have a shower faucet that only supplies luke warm water. I replaced the cartridge with no improvement. The lavatory faucet which is 3 feet from the shower produces very hot water. I thought I had heard of a anti-scalding feature on some valves. Is that what I am dealing with? We just bought the house and have no idea how old the faucet is and could not see a model number. When I purchased the replacement cartridge it was the only one for a Price Fister if that tells you anything.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Steve

Remove the handle and see if there are any geared mechanisms... if so, you found the temperature limiting device. If there is nothing under the handle, remove the trim plate from around the valve... could be that the temp. limiting device is under the trim.

    Check it out ;)

Shower water temperature [ 1 Answers ]

The heating system I have is a one year old mega flow. I have a shower in our en-suite with a victorian mixer valve (again one year old), but what ever temperature you set it at bears no resemblance to the water temperature coming out. Most times it is on the maxium "hot" setting you can get, and...

Shower temperature [ 1 Answers ]

I had poor cold water pressure in the shower. Full pressure everywhere else. Removed valve bodies, saw broken and dried rubber gaskets. So, I replaced both hot & cold American Standard 2 handle valve bodies. New valve seats. I proved water pressure OK, I think, by means of water squirting...

Shower temperature difficult to adjust [ 2 Answers ]

Shower used to work good. Now a small turn of the hot knob makes the water either too hot or too cold. When the temperature is set right, the hot water tap is barely open. The shower is probably about 40 years old. What would be the problem with this?

Shower temperature change [ 3 Answers ]

We are about to build a new house on a slab. Is there any way to minimize the temperature change in a shower, as when someone turns on another faucet, flushes the toilet, etc. Maybe pipe circuitry, or sizes? Thanks.
