    Shower Diverter Won't Work
Hello - the faucet in my shower is the type where you pull down the spout and then the water comes out of the shower. It worked, and then five minutes later when I wanted to use it again, it didn't work! The pull down just didn't seem to catch. Is this something that I can replace on my own? Are there kits to help me out? Or do I need to call a plumber? Help! Thank you!

This spout is chrome over plastic and is a replaceable item. A replacement can be purchased at any hardware or Home Depot. Look underneath the spout back against the wall and you will see a square hole. Inside that hole is a Allen Head set screw that secures the spout to the copper stub out.
Loosen the set screw and pull the spout towards you. Replace with a new spout, tighten the Allen Head screw and you're back in business. Cheers, Tom
