I am demolishing a 35yr old stahl shower on our second floor. I have gutted the entire 10x10 space and cannot remove the shower basin. How is it connected to the drain? How to I remove it? I can feel the basin is loose but will not budge. The basin appears to be made of steel and fiberglass....

Hi, we have a shower surround system and now the shower basin is cracked. Is it possible to just replace the shower basin or do we have to replace the entire shower surround system? Thank you for your help! Joyce

I just redid my second story shower and put a new subfloor under the basin. The basin needed the pipe to be exactly in the middle so the rubber boot would stop the water. It was a little off so the boot went on and I siliconed but it is still leaking so now I have to break the ceiling downstairs....
