You should call plumber. Try using a Pling which is a little yellow ball that smells like lemom to get the gas smell out. You get it at the groccery store.

FOR SEWER SMELL IN BATHROOM: I had the same problem in my 1953 home. If I flushed the toilet, I could hear air being gurgling down through the bathtub's p-pipe. SOLUTION: Go to Home Depot and buy an inline-vent ($8 or less). It's a one-way valve that sucks air in, but won't let fluids out. Splice it into your plumbing using a tee-fitting between the p-trap of bathtub and toilet. RESULT: When you flush your toilet, air will be sucked in through the inline-vent instead of from your bathtub, and no more stink.
