    Septic system
My system is 2 1/2 years old. The year of install we had major amounts of rain. This past year was a dry one all summer. My soil was graded moderate and I have 750 feet of leach. According to the sanitation dept. we have low usage for water. We also stopped washing on the same day. Ever since the beginning we filled up quick. I've drained the field twice since last may. All summer we did well until fall. This fall I stopped running the top field and plan on opening it up in May. The bottom field always overflowed the last d-box as it is today. The last time I drained it. It filled back up in a weak and a half. I am going to have the two 1000 gallon tanks cleaned this spring before a dry period. Could my system be dead already? What do I do to remedy the problem.

As much as I want to help you're asking a question that can only be answered by by a experienced septic tank man that's familiar with the area and the percolating quality of the soil. How do you drain a drain field? I would call the drainfield installer and ask him the same questions you're asking me. He will know the answer better then anyone. Good luck, Tom
