    Reusing a gatorbite fitting?
Have there been any problems with reusing the gatorbite fittings over again? I have had 2 used(a coupling & a 90) fail in the past 2 weeks. One on a copper connection & one on a pex connection (1/2" pipe) Customer is worried about future failures as I installed 9 gatorbite fittings while replumbing a home water line system from copper to pex. All the other fittings used, other than the 2 failed ones, were new & first time installation.

I also have had used ones fail over the past few years, so now I only use them for emergencies - and I never re-use them if I'm replacing them later.

For new runs I prefer to cut old copper and transition to cpvc. I've never had a glue fitting break loose.

I'm just a DIYer though, so stand by to see if our plumbing experts have more to say about this.
