 The toilet in our master bedroom was leaking around the floor. I turned the water off, flushed it one last time to get the water out of the tank, and called the plumber, who stopped by today. I wasn't there, but my g/f took a bunch of notes. He unbolted the toilet and pulled the flange out...

 Hello, I have a PVC toilet flange without the ring that goes on the outside. I am trying to snap a new ring onto it but it just won't go on it is very frustrating. I push and push and use a rubber mallet and it just won't go on. Does anyone have any tips on getting this ring on? Thank you.

 I was replacing my toilet and found that my flange was rusted so much that I couldn't get the flange bolt on one side to lock into the flange so I must replace the flange.
