Removing a tiled shower drain and replacing it
Me and a friend installed a shower pan and drain in my (new) bathroom . I tiled the floor and had someone come out and give me a bid on tiling the rest. Well he says the top of the drain is to high for water to drain and I will have to knock out the tile around it and go deeper. How do I do that big hammer?? Then cut the pvc down lower and reattach the drain?
    Thanks AB

I don't understand... the upper portion of the shower drain is either pre-set or is adjustable. Can you post a good photo of what you've done ?

Did you use one of those shower pans that you can tile over? (just making it clear). Is there drain in place, or did you set the drain yourself?

If you used a pan and have head room, there may be another option. We need specifics. You tiled the floor of a shower pan - was there a drain there before?

This sounds like it is an "on slab" or basement project. Please give more info.
