Reliance water heater takes so long for burner to ignite
Why does the 15 year old Reliance 40 gal power vent water heater click so many times (8-15 times) before the burner will ignite? The vent blower comes on to begin the heating cycle, and then the clicking starts. This unit has a standing pilot light (not electronic) that has never failed. It even clicks several times during shut-down when it has finished heating the water.
