    Radiator using flexible union,
    Radiator using flexible water pipe joint. Is it at all possible to use a bedroom door to mount a water filled radiator? It would only ever be opened to forty five degrees.

    Hi CC

    I suppose it is possible, but I would strongly recommend against it. Here, your flexible setup may work for years and years, but eventually the flexi. Connector will probably fail and end up flooding the place. In the beginning, people will watch and be careful, but over time they will observe less and that is when a problem can occur.

    Hey, if you own the place and you want to do this, like I said, I'm sure you can figure something out, but as a plumber with years and years of experience I am sure that there is some other alternative that you could figure out without mounting the radiator to the door!!

    Thanks Mark, it's a fire escape door so seldom used.
    If I had to choose, what would be better Black Alkathene, Pex, or braided, flexi tails, or..
    My only other option is to have a radiator half way up a wall!

    If you can find braided stainless steel connectors rated for heat or even copper flexi. Connectors properly rated then I would recommend those.

    PS: The Fire Department and your insurance company would NOT like your idea!
