Dear Plumbing gurus

This is actually a follow-up Q;

I called a good plumber (BBB member) to check upon the noise which
Resembles water drops hitting a surface whenever someone takes shower
Upstairs. Initially the dropping noise was quick and later it fades away.

Here is the explanation I got, as we didn't see any water stain/dripping both
On the ceiling of kitchen below and outside wall of the house after running the
Shower for ~10mts.

The guy told me that it's the PVC pipes
That had contracted during winter (or cold weather) and its taking time to expand on
Incoming hot water. Until we see water stains on the ceiling (kitchen downstairs) he
Said not to worry.

Incidentally, when I swicthed from hot to cold water, the noise/phenomenon
Repeated exactly the way as if someone started the shower for the first time.

Final conclusion is that PVC pipe is having some pressure against the walls and is
Taking time to expand and contract. At this point its not worth to cut hole and
Adjust the pressure.

How does this analysis sound?

Would appreciate if you can give me you opinion on this.

That's exactly the call I would make. They can make a tapping sound as they expand and contract against a pipe strap and a stud they sounds like water dripping. I have had this complaint before and once I took the mystery out of the customer accepted it and just lived with it. To do otherwise would involve drywallers, plumbers and painters and a big mess.
