I have a shower with a moen single faucet. I removed it and put the water back on and pr. Is good. It only 1-year old. Can the cartridge get clogged up? I have heard of leaks bur not stoping flow. The cartridge is a 109272 and lowe's said it is discontinued and i have been on the net for hours and cannot find one. Would it help to socck it in vineger or another cleaner?

My suggestion to you is to call Moen at 800-289-6636 explain your problem to them, they will tell you that this Part number is correct or wrong, and just to let you know that all Moen faucet parts has life time warranty they will send you a correct cartridge for free no cost to you, I also think that P/N 10972 is not a good number, also is it possible to post a picture of your cartridge and to soak that cartridge in vinegar would not hurt anything, Thanks.
