    Mixing valve problem
My shower mixing valve was fine when installed, but now I can't seem to get enough hot water.(rest of the house is fine) When I turn the valve all the way to hot it will get a little hotter but then I lose water pressure. It is a moen and there is only a shower unit. No tub.
    Thanks

Moens are easy to repair and parts are free for life so you are in luck. We can likely clean the cartridge but you can get a new one free from Warranty Information for Moen Faucets. This video may help you with removal. YouTube - remove stuck Moen faucet cartridge After you get the cartrdige out clean both ports and tightly cover the opening while someone turns your supply on and off to flush the valve body. Grease the cartridge with silicone grease before reinstalling. That video is the wporse case scenario, mant cartridges just slide out. This second one is more typical http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CA5y2076X0
