    Level and extend a flange
Just found out the washroom floor and flange are uneven.:( The floor end far from the door is 1 5/8 '' higher.I am thinking of using concrete to even out the floor, then what should I do with the flange? It is uneven and will be much lower than the floor after I apply the concrete and lay the tiles.

If the flange is OK then you can use flange extenders,(see image) to bring the flange up to grade after the floor's leveled. Good luck, Tom

Thanks Tom, is the uneven flange going to cause any problem after the floor is leveled? Will the flange extender extend 1 1/4'' to the new floor after the tiles are laid? Sorry for so many questions, first time washroom DIYer, Sam.

Toilet flange above floor level [ 56 Answers ]

I've seen plenty about the opposite problem - maybe this is something less common: my toilet flange is above the anticipated floor level. I recently removed old tile from the bathroom floor, planning to install new tile. In so doing, I discovered that the old tile was set on about 3 inches of...

My toilet flange is too high and not level [ 15 Answers ]

Yes yes.. I'm a rookie. OK... Just wondering what I can do with my toilet flange. After I installed it I realize that the flange is about 1/4" higher than the floor and it is tilted to one side. Do you think an extra thick wax ring will allow me to level out my toilet AND compress it...

How can I extend a closet flange that's in concrete? [ 6 Answers ]

I've got to raise a bathroom floor about 12" to allow for some drain lines. The original floor is concrete and I'm not moving the toilet's location. Is there a way to attach to the existing closet flange and extend the pipe up to the new floor level without jack-hammering around the flange, cutting...

Extend closet flange [ 3 Answers ]

I had the bathroom floor built up with marble tile about 1 inch above the current closet flange (PVC materials); consequently, I have to raise the flange. The flange attaches directly to a closet elbow so I don't believe that I can cut that elbow from the inside and extend it with a coupling, new...
