    If the purple primer for PVC has lost it's color is it still good?

    I doubt it. In fact, the only time any purple primer I've used lost its color it wasn't really primer anymore... it was water that haphazardly got in the can and kind of mixed with the primer... ;)

    I'd purchase new primer to be on the safe side.
