    Hi Freshskils

I can't say for sure here as I have not seen one like that, but I am going to say that it is most likely NOT one of the major brands such as Symmons, Moen or Kohler.

It could be a Delta or an American Standard, but most likely you have a Price Pfister valve there... hard to say.

If you post the remaining trim it may be helpful, but the thing that will really help is to see the guts inside of the valve.

In fact, I would take the guts out and pop over to a local plumbing supply store... they should be able to identify this for you (you could also post another pic. Of the guts here).

If they are unable to identify the valve then you'll want to pop over to an ACE hardware store (or similar local hardware store) as this valve probably belongs to them... ;)

    That's my thoughts...

Thanks for the heads up - I'm very new to any plumbing work at all and gutted the bathroom of a very old home and looking to put everything back together. Thanks for the response, I'll kill the water, remove it, and bring it with to stores to see what guys think.

    Thanks again

I cannot recognize it by its body. Are there any markings on the trim ? Logo, etc ? Also, it would be helpful if you could turn water OFF, open it up, remove cartridge and snap a picture of the cartridge.
However, since you do such a big remodel, get new shower faucet. That way you upgrade to present styles eliminating future problems with locating replacement parts for old, out of production, units. If you stick with domestic brands, shower faucets are relatively inexpensive to purchase and easy to install. You can even do it yourself. Back to you. Milo
