How to locate main plumbing pipes
I have come across the same issue as Natash. Can locating the main pipe and digging be done by me? I know it is a long and dirt job! Will it be worth my own time?

As Tom asked... what is the specific issue that presents the need to replace the pipes?

Also, please tell us if you have a concrete slab or if you have a full basement and if there is a bathroom present in the basement or slab. We will need to know where the main cleanout is in relation to everything to draw any reasonable conclusions so tell us about that, too.
