How do you remove a toe tap drain?
I have a toe tap style drain in my master bath garden tub. I removed the plastic cap and rubber gasket. There is a large slot under the cap. I tried loosening the drain with a large flat head screwdriver, but I can't get it to turn. Am I doing something wrong, or is there another way to remove this style drain?

Based on the above images it could be either 1, 2, or 3. I have attached actual photos of my drain for your reference. I hope someone can tell me how to get this thing out.

    Hi TimDavis

Can you see that large flat head screw in the middle of the white plastic tube in your picture?

Use a large flat head screwdriver and unscrew the screw... the rest of the mechanism will come right out once the screw is removed.

Let us know if that works, OK?

    Good luck!

I've tried the large flat head screwdriver approach, and it won't budge, is this an opposite thread, or standard thread fitting? I have also tried a manual impact screwdriver on it, and it still won't turn.
