High pitched whine coming from water pipes in house
I hear a high pitched whine from the pipes that feed my refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser. I have disconnected fridge and opened water source valve thinking it may be air in the line but it continues. The whine is non stop in a pattern that goes up and down in pitch. The ice maker is working fine and the water dispenser dispenses water fine with no sputtering that may be caused by air. Shutting off this water source valve makes no difference as the whine continues.

Do you you have a water pressure regulator in front of your house ? If so, turn the adjustment nut 1/2 turn either way. See if the noise continues. Once there, Close and Open main water valve.

If the noise does continue, go to every valve and angle stop in your house and Close it all the way, then Open it all the way

    Let me know what happened
