I have a cement floor and I need (have to ) to put a bathroom on it . I have been told I can build a platform and put pluming under it is it possible . I live in country so have septic tank. Thank anyone for their input it will be much appriciated.:)

Yes, it's possible to platform a floor if you have enough head room. However, when you consider the labor involved why not do it the right way and take up the cement floor?b Regards, tom

I can not take up the floor . I have to build a platform. There is enough room it has high cilings. Thank you for u're imput. Is there anything else I should watch out for problem wise?

If you platform the floor the drainage will go down first. That means you'll have to block up the pipes to get proper pitch/slope. You'll most likely use wooden blocks to to this. Give yourself some insurance. Leave the blocks but puddle up a mound of cement under the pipe and next to the blocks in case the blocks deteriorate with age or slip off. Remember, it's not going to be easy to replace a block once the deck is in place. Good luck, Tom

What prevents you from taking up the floor?? Maybe the forum can help you through those barriers?

I agree with Tom, the best way is to take up the floor.

Thank you for your imput it is very much needed . I wish I could take out the flour but cost and time is of very much importance. This is for a sick parent who needs there own bathroom yesterday. She can not take stress right now so the faster it can be done the better and she does not have much of a budget to work with. Thank you for the offer of help though. I don't know much about plumbing at all. The young man I have in mind to do it is a carpenter but says he has done plumbing also but I am going to help so I wanted to know a little about how to do it. You can not find much help by way of diagrams on plumbing on line I have found. :) thanks once again for your time and help I really do need all I cn get. P
