    Garbage disposal questions?
I just installed a 3/4 hp insinkerator evoloution disposal and I tested for leaks and found none. However when I filled up the sink and then let it drain into the disposal it leaks from the disposal outlet where the rubber seal is. I've tried several times to figure out why it only leaks when the sink is full of water but no results. Please help!

It leaked at the connection to the sink, correct? When you installed the disposal to the drain you might not have got a good seal. Take the disposal back off and reinstall. Good luck, Tom

    Hi Bcolby

Did you install plumber's putty around the underside of the upper disposal flange? If not, that is your issue... ;)

    Otherwise, reinstall as Tom suggested!

What tools do I need and how do I go about removing a garbage disposal and putting in a regular drain and trap. It sounds to me like it should be a fairly easy job but I want to be sure before I attack it. Thanks, Jim

My garbage disposal makes a humming noise and won't turn. I tried using a broom handle that does not work. Now it is starting to get real hot.

My disposal has always worked just fine, but today it's sending water back up into the sink after it's gone down once the switch is turned off? A clog? Does this necessarily mean a plumbing call?
