    Formula to find out how many ft from the fin flr to the invert?
    If you have a 6" pipe with an invert of 105.00 from the finished floor; what is the formula to find out how many ft from the fin flr to the invert?

    If you have a set of plans that says the stub out is 6" sanitary sewer pipe, then says invert = 105.00 from finished floor what is the formula to convert the 105.00 to feet arriving at the invert from the finished floor.

    You simply aren't providing enough information here... sorry! I am not trying to complicate this for you... I promise, but there is standard information needed to determine inverts.

    When I work with inverts I usually start with some kind of a BENCHMARK in relation to the whole jobsite drainage system.

    Then we determine the INVERT of the pipe in the field and then we determine the INVERT of where we want the pipe to end up... keeping in mind the dirt needed to cover the pipe properly and the thickness of the concrete floor.

    Most important here will be to know the required pitch of the pipe and the farthest distance the pipe will travel to serve fixtures. In plumbing codes, 6" pipe would get 1/8" pitch per foot of pipe.

    With this information can you provide me with more info. on your question?

    PS: Please confirm that 105.00 is in inches and not feet OK?
