    Extending pipes
    Hi I am planning to move my bathroom suite around in my bathroom, but the pipes to the bath come up out of the floor. How do I extend the pipes to where I want them?cheers :confused:

    Hi Funfrock:

    Open up the floor and remove or cap the pipes that won't be used to below the floor. Then, cut into the pipes that are present and extend them AND THE VENTS as needed to relocate the fixtures.

    It will depend upon what material the pipes are made of and whether you wish to transition from one type of pipe to another. In short, you haven't furnished us with enough details to frame a reply. Why don't you fill us in? Regards, tom

    Hi sorry didn't explain myself properly. The pipes are copper and the I live in a bungalow to the floor is concrete

    Most likely you will need to connect onto the toilet pipe using a copper x PVC shielded transition clamp (see image) and then extend the new PVC pipe to the new toilet location.

    The other pipes may or may not be extended in the same manner to complete the job.

    You also want to plan on connecting into the vents that are in the wall.. so keep that in mind, too.

    If you present us with a drawing of existing and a drawing of proposed work perhaps we can tell you more.
