Ever since the new presssure switch was installed, we have no water, every 2-3 days.
My husband says there's air in the line and the switch is protecting the pump. I say that the pump was fine until the new switch went in, therefore it must be the switch needs adjusting. About every-other morning, we have to go to the basement and reset the switch, whereupon there is a lot of belching from the system as the water reboots.

    Thanks for your help!

While I'm not an big pump guy this is fairly simple.
Have you had a dry spell lately? Could then water table have fallen? If the pressure drops to zero the control box shuts off to prevent the pump from running dry. This leaves air in the line that must be expelled before water from the well is drawn up. That's one explanation.
Another could be a faulty foot/check valve. If it was bad you would lose prime and pressure and the suction line would be filled with air. Both cases would have the pipes spitting air as it came up from the well. Check then out and let me know what you find, Good luck, Tom
