    Drain in laundry room?
We are moving the laundry room -- do we need a drain in the laundry room? Can you install a wood floor (pergo) in a laundry room? Can tile still get ruined by water?

    Thanks for you help.

I assume you're asking if a floor drain's mandatory in a home laundry. No it's not but it's a very good idea to have ome there is case of spills. You wish to install a laundry room and cover the floor with wood? Not a good idea, even the manufacture advises against it. If the washer ever develops a leak in the seals you'll wish you had a floor drain and be sorry that your nice shiny wood floor's beginning to warp.
    Good luck, Tom
