    Does a shower and bathtub need a vent pipe
    I'm installing a new bathroom and want to know if a shower and tub need a vent pipe?

    Hi Russgrniis...

    Yes, depending on what plumbing code your state uses you may need an individual vent for the tub, for the sink, for the toilet, and for the shower. In other states, you can increase the size of the sink vent to 2" and use the sink vent to vent the toilet, shower and tub... ;)
