    Commode not holding water
The water in the commode bowl is suddenly very low. The water flow from the tank is fine but most of the water leaves the bowl and none is leaking onto the floor.

I'd start by checking inside the toilet tank and see if the refill tube from the fill valve has become dislodged from the overflow tube in the center of the tank. If the tube is loose or dislodged, place it back into the overflow pipe and flush the toilet a couple times... should fix it... ;)

If that isn't the issue then pop back and we can discuss more options, OK?

I have a commercial building that has concrete floors and is flat on the ground. There is a septic tank that is quite old. When we have 2-3 inch rains, one of the two commodes (the one closest to the septic tank line) backs up with clear water and the commode actually overflows into the floor. ...

One of the commode, which is almost never used, fills up with water by itself (no flushing). Worst is when it starts overflowing and there is water almost everywhwere. A plumber once came and ran the snake and said it is clear now. However, it just happened again (no one has used the commode since...

Saw low water in commode so I added water and it all disappeared [ 2 Answers ]

I live in a downstairs condo. I noticed the water was low in my commode, so I added water to where I felt the bowl had enough water at the normal level. (I filled the bathroom trash can with water and pored it in the bowl) Then without a flush almost all that water disappeared. I checked the top...

Water level in commode is low [ 10 Answers ]

I had to empty the bathtub recently by pouring buckets of water into the commoded. As I did this, it would flush on its own. Now the water level is very low and when I flush the commode using the handle, the water level rises (almost to overflowing) and then flushes. Then it goes back to the low...

Water level in commode [ 1 Answers ]

The water level in my commode is surging. The level in the commode is constantly moving, about 1/2 inch in the level. You can watch it move up and down, even though nothing is running in the commode. The commode flushes with no problem. I have my own septic system and the drainage lines do not...
