    Clogged water line
    Hi
I only have water coming to one of three bathrooms.
I got an estimate for $10,000 from a plumberto repair the system. The plumbing is galvanized. The house was left to me and siblings by our father.
I think this is an outrageous price. Is they a way to solve the problem that is not so expensive?

$10,000 is pretty pricey for a repipe job. Get three estimates to repipe your house in CPVC or Pex and see if the price doesn't come down. I can sympathize with you. I have a home built in 1954 with galvanized that must be repiped soon because of pressure and volume problems. Good luck, Tom

I'm looking for advice as to other alternatives the home is in East Chicago, IN. Most of the labor is high because of most work is by Union salary rates. I plan to get more estimates. I'm not sure if the code requires copper only.
