The check valve on my Ejector pump bangs more then once occasionally when it ejects
The check valve on my Ejector pump for my basment bathroom/kitchen bangs more then once occasionally when it ejects and closes, kind of like a big bang then a bunch of smaller ones until the valve finally seals. It creats a ton of extra noise and Im afraid its going to snap the outlet pipe, its secured to the wall well but with all the extra banging it makes me nervous. We already snapped the pipe once and flooded the basement. The check valve is horizontal and brass and is about 1 1/2 feet outside of the tank, is this correct? And do you have any fixes for the excessive banging (2nd check valve)? I can deal with on bang but not a bunch!

My septic (effluent) pump runs about 5 times a day. This started about a week ago. I think it is my back-up valve. How do I remove and check valve? After I am finished how do I ensure that my pump is primed and working?
