    Causes for bathroom leakage
    Hi,

I have newly done up my bathroom. Yesterday I got a call from my apartment maintenance guy that my bathroom is leaking. On examination I found water mark on the outer wall of the bathroom close to the floor level. Also this side of the wall on which leakage is appearing, there are no concealed water pipes, taps etc.

Could the leak be because the gaps between the tiles are not properly filled with with cement? Could there be nay other cause?

    Thanks for your time.

    Regards,
    Aparna

This doesn't give me the information I need. What wall does it serve> Is it a tile wall enclosing a custom built tile shower? A tub enclosure? What? More details please. Back to you. Tom

    Hi Tom,

The bathroom has shower cubicle on the righ hand corner of the bathroom. There is no bath tub in the bathroom. The leakage is visible on the wall almost diagonally opposite the shower. The wall on which leakage is appearing is covered in tiles, so the water marks are visible only when looking at the bathroom wall from the outside.
