A taco 007 or 0010 are both fine replacements for the B&G 100 series circulator as long as the B&G pump isn't an all bronze pump! Wal-mart has the 0010 pump on sale for $187.00 including free shipping!

    Ivyleagr,
Circulator sizing is based on flow rate and pump head ( friction loss ). The pump flow rate should match the pipe size it is serving, and, the connected load; a circulator should not try to pump more than a pipe can handle.
Proper circulator sizing will result in measureable electric savings, and, will prevent wear from flow erosion, reduce expansion noise, and will decrease the potential for water hammer. All pump manufacturers will help you properly size a replacement pump via their tech support.
ECM circulators can further reduce your operating costs, and, increase your heating system overall efficiency; these electronic commutated motors will continuously adjust pump speed to match the required heat load in real time. Certain manufacturers are offering substantial rebates on these new circulators that brings the actual cost lower than most fixed speed replacement circulators..............

Taco 0010-F2 pump [ 1 Answers ]

Hi I have a Taco 0010-F2 pump on my underfloor heat system. Do these pumps lose pressure over time? If so is it normally the replacement cartridge or the electrical windings that cause the problem. Any easy way to test the windings without taking it in? Thanks
