    Block Sink?
    Help?

I think I got a blocked sink or a blocked air vent somewhere.

Water just won't go down the kitchen sink but it will from the bath tub or toilet. I have dismantle the U trap under the sink and inserted a rod as far as it would go , water did not moved.

Also if I push with a power suction plunger, the ware comes out of the Washing machine vent. What's up with that!

I have tried mrmuscle and other "drain cleaners" but to no avail.

If the kitchen sink is blocked but not the bathtub, is this a blocked vent somewhere ?

    Any tips welcome,

    Thanks

    Hey Smitty,

    1) "I have dismantle the U trap under the sink and inserted a rod as far as it would go , water did not moved."
A rod ain't going to get it, you need to snake,(see image) the horizontal line from the trap to the stack vent. If that don't get it then you'll have to snake the line out from the kitchen roof vent.

    2) "Also if i push with a power suction plunger, the ware comes out of the Washing machine vent. Whats up with that!?"
The two drains are connected. Have you checked to see if the washer's draining OK?

    3) "I have tried mrmuscle and other "drain cleaners" but to no avail."
I am no fan of putting harsh chemicals into your drainage system. Besides, they only seem to work in TV commercials.

    4) "If the kitchen sink is blocked but not the bathtub, is this a blocked vent somewhere?"
It sounds more like a clogged drain line to me.
What I hqve pictured is what you'll have to rent if you snake from the roof vent you may purchase a smaller hand held snake at any hardware store. Snake the drain lines and let me know. Regards, Tom
